Hooper In Team Of The Week (14/3/17)

Hooper In Team Of The Week (14/3/17)

Port Vale are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by JJ Hooper in the three two victory over Swindon Town at the weekend at Vale Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Hooper was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Port Vale earned a vital win over relegation rivals Swindon Town, and Hooper was the main man as they moved above the Robins in the standings. After scoring his first from close range, the 23-year-old curled home a delightful free-kick as the Valiants won 3-2, and brought an end to their nine-game winless run.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Hooper for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Jamal Blackman (Wycombe Wanderers), Luke Wilkinson (Stevenage), Aden Flint (Bristol City), John Brayford (Burton Albion), Filipe Morais (Bolton Wanderers), Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham), Josh Wright (Gillingham), Kal Naismith (Portsmouth), Medy Elito (Cambridge United), JJ Hooper (Port Vale), Tom Barkhuizen (Preston North End).

Manager - Mike Flynn (Newport County).
