Injury Crisis For Valiants

Vale will wrap up their pre-season fixtures tomorrow night with a game against Championship side Leicester City at Vale Park.

The Valiants are struggling on the injury front, however. Daniel Jones, Joe Davis, Liam Chilvers, Adam Yates, Richard Duffy and Doug Loft are all doubts with knocks, leaving the Vale boss desperately short of defensive cover at a time when he is trying to strengthen in that area anyway.

The former Plymouth Argyle and MK Dons defender Mathias Doumbe will get another opportunity to impress Adams after featuring alongside fellow trialist Paul Reid in Vale`s 1-1 draw at Kidderminster Harriers last Friday. There appears some confusion though as to whether additional trialists will be involved tomorrow.
