Vincent Signs Cheltenham Deal
After turning down a two year contract with the Vale, Ashley Vincent has signed a one year contract with his former club Cheltenham Town.
The move comes as somewhat of a surprise. Whether Vincent overestimated the level of interest in him by turning down an improved deal to stay in the Potteries and play League One football is unclear, but it doesn`t appear, on the face of it, an especially progressive career move.
The Robins missed out on promotion via the play offs once again last season. Manager Mark Yates certainly appears to have recruited well in his attempt to go one better next year. Vincent will be seen as a replacement for Kaid Mohamed who left Cheltenham to sign for the Vale last month.
