Vale Announce New Sponsor

The club have announced that GMB will be their sponsor for the forthcoming season. As well as sponsoring all three kits, Vale have also revealed the organisation will sponsor six of Vale`s fixtures next season- those against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Coventry City, Shrewsbury Town, Crewe Alxandra, Walsall and Sheffield Untied, as well as sponsoring the Bycars Stand.

Vale Chairman Norman Smurthwaite told the Official Site "I am very proud to have GMB as our main club sponsor for the new campaign, which will see them become major commercial partners of the club.

"They are an organisation which represent a number of our fan-base, in addition to many more in the city of Stoke on Trent.

"I am looking forward to welcoming GMB to our opening fixture against Brentford and seeing their logo on our shirt for the forthcoming season."

Meanwhile, Micky Adams has revealed that he expects Captain Doug Loft to extend his stay with the club. There has been speculation that Loft was keen on a move south; however, Adams stressed that the midfielder was keen to remain with the club and would continue negotiations now that he and Smurthwaite had returned from their holidays.
