Brentford First Up For Vale

The eagerly awaited fixtures for the 20-13-14 season are out with the Valiants set to take on Brentford at Vale Park on the opening day.

Uwe Rosler`s side were beaten in the League One play-off final by Yeovil last season, so Micky Adams will be hoping they will still be suffering a hangover from that defeat. Vale will host two of their biggest fixtures of the season by the end of September. Staffordshire rivals Wolves will make the short trip up the M6 on Saturday 31st August for what could well be a bumper gate, while Coventry City visit the Potteries on Saturday 21st September. Supporters will need to patient as Vale don`t travel to either side until March next year. Vale`s first visit to the Ricoh Arena will be the 15th March, with the reverse fixture against Wolves 2 weeks earlier at Molineux on Saturday 1st March.

Other notable fixtures see Vale host Notts County on Boxing Day, travel to Preston North End on New Year`s Day and end the season with a trip to Peterborough. The Derby games with neighbours Crewe Alex will be at Gresty Road on Saturday 23rd November and Saturday 22nd February at Vale Park.

Further information to follow. For the full list of fixtures, check out the Official Site
