Vincent Leaves Vale
Ashley Vincent has rejected the offer of a new deal with the club and will leave this summer. The winger has decided that his future lies away from the Potteries, despite being offered a significant pay rise.
The 27 year old was a prominent figure in Vale`s performances over the first half of the season. However, illness, injury and a loss of form saw Vincent`s performance dramatically tail off, so it comes as some surprise that he obviously feels he has a better offer lined up. The former Colchester United player scored eight times during his spell with the club.
Manager Micky Adams told the Official Site ""I am personally disappointed that we couldn`t reach an agreement with Ashley but that is football and we move on.
"I`d like to thank Ashley for his contribution for his time at Port Vale, particularly in the first-half of the season."
The Vale boss will now turn his attention to securing a replacement, with out of contract Cheltenham winger Kaid Mohamed and Oxford United`s Alfie Potter among those linked.
