McDonald Joins Rovers

McDonald Joins Rovers

In a somewhat surprising move, Vale defender Clayton McDonald has left the club to join fellow League 2 side Bristol Rovers. Following the arrival of Darren Purse and Liam Chilvers, McDonald has found himself out of favour over recent weeks.

However, with John McCombe ruled out through injury and manager Micky Adams having shown little inclination at times to play Joe Davis, it may surprise some supporters that the former Walsall centre half has been allowed to leave the club at the present time.

McDonald has featured in 26 games in all competitions for the Valiants this season and will go straight into the Rovers squad ahead of their game with Rotherham United.
