Chilvers Joins On Loan

Micky Adams has further strengthened his squad after re-signing defender Liam Chilvers from AFC Telford on loan until January. The defender will add to some much needed cover to the Valiants` squad and returns to the club following his successful spell at Vale Park last season, which was ended when the club`s financial woes prevented his deal from Notts County being extended. Chilvers was released by the Magpies over the summer before linking up with Conference side Telford. Adams told the Official Site: "He also knows the Club and our aspirations and I, along with the rest of the staff and players, are looking forward to working with him until the New Year.

"After a frustrating spell, we are now in the position where we can bring in new players and I thank the new owners for allowing us to act swiftly to do that."
