Adams Brings In Midfielder

With Vale`s threadbare squad pushed to the limit, Micky Adams has brought in the former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sean McAllister on a short term deal. The 25 year old was released by Shrewsbury Town during the summer after a season blighted by a hernia problem. He has signed an eight week contract with the club. The box to box midfielder will provide a much needed boost after Sam Morsy and Doug Loft were ruled out through suspension and injury respectively. The Vale boss will be hoping to add to his depleted squad once Paul Wildes` takeover is complete, with John McCombe, Gareth Owen and Richard Duffy also unavailable for this afternoon`s trip to Southend United. McAllister is expected to be named on the bench with Kingsley James in contention for a rare start.
