Graham Turner.

The former Aston Villa and Wolves manager returned to manage Shrewsbury for a second spell this summer, having previously spent six years in the hot-seat. Formerly manager/chairman at Hereford United, Turner replaced Paul Simpson who was sacked after Town missed out on the play-offs last season.

Player to Watch

Lionel Ainsworth. Played under Turner at Hereford before catching the attention of Watford, who he joined for an undisclosed fee in January 2008. Ainsworth then moved to Huddersfield Town in January 2009, but after falling out of favour with manager Lee Clark, spent time on loan with Brentford before teaming up with Turner once again in the close season.


Town have made a promising start to the campaign and will have expectations of a least a top 7 finish.
